What Is Legacy Falls Electric?

What is a legacy, and why is it important? Legacy is about learning from the past, living in the present, and building for the future. It is honoring those who came before us, while recognizing the responsibility we have to those we leave behind.
In 1972, my paternal grandfather Owen Kuehl started an electrical company in rural Minnesota. As the years went by, my father and uncle acquired ownership of the company. While I grew up in a family with five boys, we all had our opportunity to work in the trade that set the stage for our family. Only two of us became licensed electricians.

In 2015, the last of my grandparents was laid to rest. My grandfather Walter “Bob” Wolner was a kind, hardworking man who left behind a small inheritance to each of his grandchildren. My wife and I could have used this money in any number of ways, but we made the decision to use it towards building our dream, continuing my family’s heritage, and starting my own company. My maternal grandfather’s gift in death was once again giving our lives perspective, and informing this broader idea of leaving behind a legacy to be proud of.
When I started to reflect on names for my new business, I thought of what I wanted to contribute to my community and my family, and how I wanted my business to be viewed. If I were ever to pass my business on or sell it, I wanted it to be known as a business with strong morals, honest workers, Christian values, and sound business ethics. A Legacy may take many forms, and in my case it is the skills and accomplishments my grandparents left behind. What they instilled in me should be remembered in some way. Through my business and community involvement, I can pass the legacy of my grandfathers on for generations to come. Description
In 2011, my wife and I were married. She accepted a job at Avera McKennan, we built our first home, and I moved to Sioux Falls, SD to start our life together. I am continuing to build my legacy in the greater Sioux Falls area. I hope to pass on a timeless part of myself to the community and create a personal meaning and purpose for it. We understand that the world we leave behind is the world our children’s children inherit. We know that we have an obligation to help make the future a little bit better than the past. So let’s live fully in the present and understand together that we are part of a larger community, a community that must remember its history to help build its future

"I can't recommend Josh at Legacy Falls enough! We had just bought our first home and had a not so great experience with another electrician. Josh was recommended to us by a handyman and I'm so glad he was! He was professional, honest and worked with integrity and efficiency. His work was top notch, but truthfully, I value his honesty and integrity above all else. I would recommend him a thousand times!"

“Josh with Legacy Falls Electric did the electric work for our new home from start to finish. From trenching in underground wires to assembling and hanging light fixtures, he knew exactly what to do. Josh walked through our home with us many times during the building process to make sure we were getting everything we wanted for lighting and electric. He was always available to answer questions and help with anything we needed at that time. Josh is very professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. He has been great to work with and I would highly recommend him for any electric job you may have!” ~Erin H. Sioux Falls, SD
